A Fellowship of Distinguished Educators

The national board gathers annually to encourage, educate, and learn from one another.  These retreats include reports and discussions of each fellow’s current work and research, delivering papers to each other to model excellence and stimulate conversation, discussing our ideas together, and collaborating on mutual projects.  We listen to each other’s struggles, offer encouragement and support, and hold each other accountable in life and work.  


As movement leaders and leaders within our individual institutions, the national fellows assess the movement’s current needs, initiate conversations around key topics in order to nourish the movement, and support each other in our work within our own institutions.  National retreats allow the fellows to collaborate and coordinate efforts in order to address needs of the movement without duplicating each other’s efforts.  Many of the national fellows are in executive leadership positions within our individual institutions, and national retreats also provide a needed and generative context for rest and renewal.
